OVADA Staff Astrid Bowron Director Astrid Bowron has been Director of OVADA since November 2006. The role of Director is partly supported by the secondment of Astrid Bowron from her role as .6 Arts & Culture Worker at Oxford Brookes University. Previously Astrid was Director of the Hampshire Sculpture Trust where she was responsilbe for off-site projects including Yoko Ono in Portsmouth Cathedral, and initiated Winchester Year of Sculpture 2007. Astrid has also curated freelance projects for Gallery Sketch in London and for the City of London Festival 2006 at St Paul's Cathedral. Until 2002 Astrid was Curator at Modern Art Oxford. She has an MA in History of Art and Research Methodology from Oxford Brookes University.
Projects Manager Sophie Williamson graduated from BA Fine Art at Goldsmiths College in 2006 and relocated to Singapore for 8 months to work on their inaugural international biennale, working with over 100 artists from all over the world. She then returned to work in London with Israeli theatre group Tik-Sho-Ret and in Italy at the 52nd Venice Biennale before joining OVADA as Projects Manager in July 2007.
