This month... Dr. Misha Maglev, Prof. Bioscience in the University of Moscow, tours the UK to present her ground-breaking Research on Human Emotions.

How to be a Love Magnet is a revolutionary lecture that deals with the demystification of the workings of Love and Erotic Attraction. Dr. Maglev?s expertise takes the audience to a fascinating journey from Ancient Rome and the Enlightenment, to Modern Magnetism and Popular Culture and promises to offer tips on how you can be a Love Magnet. The combination of simple scientific experiments with sophisticated laboratory instruments enhances Dr. Maglev?s lecture and makes the mysterious and ineffable Love accessible to all of us.

Misha Maglev?s latest talk has been presented in a variety of conferences and festivals including Testing Grounds at South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell and at the opening of Oxford Pride Festival in 2010.

This month... be part of the world-wide screening of 'An Island' - an unconventional music performance film and abstract documentary by Vincent Moon featuring 8 piece-live band, Efterklang. Moon has produced a film with the same length as Efterklang's album which is full of performances, experiments and collaborations over an intense period of 4 days on an island off the Danish coast.

This month... prepare for a lively evening of speed networking aimed at artists, curators and arts professionals. You'll have around 4 minutes to introduce yourself to each person, talk about your projects, share ideas and establish new links. You may wish to bring along a piece of work or documentation to stimulate conversation. When the bell rings, it's on to the next person and so on, until you've met every person in the room. There will be plenty of time to further conversations and exchange details at the end of the evening. This is a great opportunity to connect with likeminded individuals that you have never met as well as a chance to learn more about people you may already know of. Maybe you'll meet your perfect match for the dream collaboration!
