I am an emerging artist working in acrylics, textiles, charcoal and oils. My work is largely abstract in form, and is united by a feeling of movement and texture.
I take a huge amount of my inspiration from the power and majesty of the natural world: from landscapes, from huge skies, from the sea. I am also obsessed with mythology, including that of the ancient worlds of Rome and Greece, and in traditions of folk and fairy tales. I am interested in the constructs humans have created to explain the everyday, the archetypes that appear across our mythologies, and the dark as well as the light sides of human experience expressed in those stories. I am also a writer and these themes appear heavily in my written work, which includes poetry and short stories.
I currently live and work in Oxfordshire.
