Claire Frampton

I work at the Ashmolean as a gallery attendant, since 2011. I enjoy going to the theatre, interviewing actors and producers, writing project proposals and writing theatre reviews as part of developing my PhD proposal/professional research portfolio about theatre in museums education.

I play double bass in university music societies such as the Keble String Group, and aim to incorporate this into my museum studies, with an interest in music in museums.

In 2013 I finished MA Arts Policy and Management at Birkbeck College University of London taking modules specialising in Heritage Management. Before working at the Ashmolean I worked as an Art Technician/ Display Co-ordinator in a school where I developed a knowledge of the secondary curriculum and developed my interest in learning through creativity.

I have completed an MA in Fashion Curation at London College of Fashion and a BA in Art History/ History from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
