Sarah Britten Jones is a visual artist with an accomplished background in ceramics. Her work explores and critiques the process of appropriation by manipulating, plundering and inverting pre-existent visual and physical material. Britten Jones’ playful pursuit of conceptual and physical material from her environment reveals truths that are often denied or hidden. She highlights the stories we tell ourselves in order to live, and examines how these self-narratives are exercised and take form through the things we create and consume.
Britten Jones holds a Master of Fine Art from New York State College of Ceramics and lectures in Higher and Further Education alongside her studio practice.
