Dawn Rose Red
7 April - 22 April
Taking place over 3 weekends in April, Dawn Rose Red encompasses a series of special events at OVADA as a starting point for longer-term conversations about gender equality. In the centenary year of the Representation of the People Act 1918 where some women were granted the right to vote for the first time, this project provides a timely artistic exploration of women’s rights. The project will bring people together as a starting point to discuss and make creative responses to what gender equality means both today and for the future. Take part and contribute towards creative workshops, growing installations, discussion forums and screenings, in addition to the following special events:
-Sunday 8 April (open 11am-5pm)
12-4pm: Creative Workshop for Families
-Saturday 14 April (open 11am-5pm)
11am-5pm: ‘My Feminist Toolkit’ collage workshop
-Sunday 15 April (open 11am-5pm)
12-2pm: An alternative Sunday Lunch with Waste2Taste
-Saturday 21 April (open 11am-5pm)
11am-5pm: DAWN ROSE RED ART FAIR
More events will be added to the programme shortly!
