Friday 24 June
7.00 – 7.30 Bar and Soup, Welcome to the Festival
7.30 – 9.00 Screening of Short Films. [£3]
WATCH short art based films, selected from an open call to Artists. These films will be used as content for the Video Sculpture created during the Weekend Workshops.
Saturday 25 June
12.00 – 6.00 Build a Video Sculpture, Collaborative Workshop. [£10]*
EXPLORE video feed back, switching and other analogue video techniques and help create a visually stimulating structure in the main warehouse space using repurposed technologies, led by artists associated with OVADA. Feel free to bring in old tapes, TVs and cameras etc. to be incorporated in the construction.
6.00 – 7.30 Bar and Soup and explore the evolving video sculpture.
7.30 – 9.00 Play Along to a Silent Film. [£3]
CREATE an improvised live score to a 1920’s classic German expressionist film! Bring along a non-amplified instrument or noisemaker and join in, Musical ability not essential; just a sense of fun!
Sunday 26 June
2.00 – 6.00 Interactive Video, Collaborative Workshop [£10] *
EXPLORE digital technologies to add reactive and interactive elements to the evolving video sculpture. Technologies explored will include: Praxis Live, Augmented Reality and Google Cardboard. Led by artists associated with OVADA.
6.00 – 7.30 Bar and Soup and explore the finished video sculpture.
7.30 – 9.00 Live Gig with Reactive Visuals. [£3]
WATCH the video sculpture react to live music, featuring a special set by exotic Oxford band Crandle.
