Emily Gong is a Chinese Canadian artist working in traditional, abstract and mixed media painting, sculpture and performance art. Her works range from research-based projects to drawing from vivid dreams – offering alternative perceptions of reality or an illusionistic getaway.
Emily received her Master’s degree from the University of Oxford and her Bachelor of Fine Art from Queen’s University, while studying in Italy and at the University of Cambridge in her exchange year.
Emily has exhibited her work in Canada, China, and Europe. Emily is also a social entrepreneur who believes in the importance of art education. In her free time Emily enjoys making tea, interviewing people, and navigating between cultures (while enjoying the local cuisine).
