Discontinued

‘Discontinued’ marked art collective Evocation’s debut exhibition, bringing together the works of seven students from Ruskin School of Art. The exhibition reflected an ongoing process of exchange, as each artist responds to one another, and to the environments in which their practices take shape.

Featuring work from artists Ben Adams, Charlie Pellow, Eimear White, Lillian Tagg, Naia Searight, Phoebe Birch, and Vita Sunshine Bannister, Discontinued presented an intersection of diverse artistic approaches. Working across painting, photography, sculpture, installation, and textiles, the artists explored connections between their practices, drawing links between materials, processes, and ideas.

Founded by Phoebe Birch, Evocation emerged through shared moments of reflection and the convergence of distinct artistic practices. The group forms around a shifting set of encounters and attempts to provide provisional spaces in which conversations, alignments and frictions can arise.
