Meet the Facilitator: David Elliott is a visual artist and art psychotherapist with a diverse background that informs his creative practice. Initially pursuing a career in hospitality, he later earned an honours degree in theology (1991) and was ordained in the Church of England. A radical shift in perspective led him to study graphic design and illustration (1998–2000), working as a commercial illustrator before transitioning to healthcare chaplaincy. From 2007 to 2016, David ran arts-in-health programs within the NHS, blending his creative and pastoral skills.

In 2014, he earned an MA (Distinction) in Art Therapy from the University of Hertfordshire and has since built a thriving practice as an art psychotherapist, primarily supporting special-needs schools in Oxfordshire. From 2020 to 2022, David also brought his expertise to an international audience, delivering live online workshops for Danny Gregory's 'Sketchbook Skool.'

David’s work continues to explore themes of spirituality, mindfulness, ecology, and creativity through art-making and retreats. He is currently pursuing an MFA (online) at Falmouth University, further deepening his artistic and professional practice.workshops
