

















Screen Printed Collages with Berkshire Printmakers: Sunday 3 August 10-4pm
When? Sunday 3 August from 10-4pm, with a coffee and lunch break
What?
A relaxing and creative printing and collaging workshop with Berkshire Printmakers
Be inspired by collage artists Henri Matisse, Fred Tomaselli, or even Eric Carle! Spend an artful day learning to silkscreen print colourful patterns and textures to create your own artwork. Berkshire Printmakers will take you through step by step how to silkscreen print using hand cut stencils. They will then demonstrate how these can incorporated to make your own visual collages. As well as bringing a kaleidoscope of water based inks, 30 plain and patterned screens, they will have a selection of papers to print on and magazines to incorporate into your own work.
Feel free to also bring your own papers, quotations, inspiration and resource pictures to inspire your collage.
No printmaking experience necessary as Berkshire Printmakers will take you step by step.
Dress for mess and bring a A3 folder to take your prints home
Maximum 10 attendees
Who? All welcome; no experience necessary; age 16+ (under 18s should attend with an adult).
This course is ideal for complete beginners or as a refresher for those with some experience of screen-printing.

Meet the Facilitator: Berkshire Printmakers are husband and wife they have over 15 years’ experience teaching silkscreen printing. Sarah has a degree in Design and is a qualified art teacher. Cipriano is a painter and has an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art , he has taught silkscreen printing to degree students. They take their workshops to schools, colleges, museums and even festivals including Carfest and the Hat Fair Winchester..
