Take Over Application Fee

This opportunity is available for everyone - so spread the word!

This application fee is non-refundable and goes towards covering the cost of administration

The application fee is £15 with an early bird discount

The standard application fee is £20 - the price will be raised in the shop at 12noon on Thursday 15 May 2025

Please submit the Takeover Application Form by 12noon on Thursday 15 May 2025 for the early bird discount to apply

Please submit the Takeover Application Form by 12noon on Thursday 27 May 2025 for the standard application

(The application form will be emailed to you once you’ve registered)

You are welcome to pay ‘in-house’ by card or cash

Terms and Conditions

We’re excited read your Take Over proposal. To ensure everyone has the best experience, please take note of the following:

  1. It is the artist’s responsibility to ensure the work(s) are delivered on time

  2. Frames, Fixings & Tools: Please bring your own fixings, fastenings and tools for installation

  3. Video works: Where possible we ask artists to provide their own equipment

  4. Plinth: You will need to provide your own plinth if your work requires one

  5. Insurance, Damage & Theft: OVADA cannot be held responsible for any damage or theft to your artworks installed in the space

    If you would like to insure your work for the duration of the exhibition we recommend a-n for Public Liability Insurance

  6. Storage & Packaging: OVADA cannot store your packaging materials, you must take these away with you when you deliver your work

  7. We will not accept and refunds will not be issued for: work that is transphobic, sexist, racist, pornographic, pedophilic, anti-lgbtqia+, ageist or could be deemed offensive or as a hate crime against a minority culture and or group. Do not submit works that contain harmful substances that could endanger people

  8. De-installation: When the exhibition or event ends you must collect your work at the specified time, any uncollected work after this time may be disposed of.
